Not sure I really understand your question but, for what it's worth, EMD had two basic (than means no extra charge) cab & engineerings room interior colors, i.e. Sued Gray, or Jade Green. Any other color would have been an extra charge. Both those colors were carried over from the steam locomotive days. I'm pretty sure ALCO, Baldwin, FM, and GE offered the exact same colors.

Since the wind frames and sliding side windows were metal framework, they were generally painted on the outside a color that matched the customer's exterior styling.
