Harbor District switching limits when I was there on the Santa Fe were approximately at the west end of the siding at Hyde Park, near the 4th Ave. crossing. There were still a couple of industries that far west along the Harbor District main line, quite a few between there and Redondo Jct., and a bunch in the Goodyear Industrial District south of Slauson Ave. A hi-hood 1000 hp Alco was kept at Wingfoot freight station along Slauson and kept busy most of the day and night. This was the 1960's, what seems like a millennium ago.
