What's up with UP 1995 and 1996?

I heard that UP 1995 (CNW heritage unit) is in long-term storage at Ft. Worth. Anybody know why? Problems with the unit?

And, I heard that UP 1996 (SP heritage unit) is doing damage assessment in North Platte. Anybody know what's up with that?
