Pondosa

Name of the camp in Pondosa. Was a McCloud River Lumber Company log camp 1927-1963. Also home to a small independent sawmill 1929ish-1980 or so. McCloud Railway removed the bridge in a deal with the state that got them new grade crossing equipment at Bartle and Arkrite. Whatever wasn’t salvaged from the twin tanks at Pondosa was burned in a training exercise, there’s still a pile of charcoal where the tanks used to stand.

And yes, Britton bridge is very much still there.
