SLRG Railroad headed to state bankruptcy court July 1

the trustee soliciting bids for the line as of June 18

on and off the record to try and find a way to either keep the line or to have it converted to a walking trail

now up to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to approve the sale of the line to the highest bidder 

property taxes owed by the line that amounts to just over $2 million

estimated that the railroad brings in an average of $4 million a year in commerce, not including the tourism portion that brings in additional revenue
