Mountain Pass by Car

Regarding comments on T.O. about the grade. There is of course the highway sign advising turning of A/C to avoid overheating. Back when I had my '78 Civic I actually had to drive up the whole grade with my car heater on full blast to keep from overheating. Was not fun.
