Nelson Bennett Tunnel Question

Can anyone tell me:

* When was the Nelson Bennett Tunnel converted from double track to single track?
* I assume the line was shut down to traffic during the conversion. How long was the shut down?
* Were there detours during the conversion? Or just a period with no movement between PDX and SEA? Amtrak service cancelled?
