Mesa AZ getting "quiet zones"

MESA, AZ — The City of Mesa announced Wednesday that eight traffic crossings over a stretch of Union Pacific Railroad track on Dobson Road will now be designated as "quiet zones."

These zones “allow for less noise pollution while still providing options to maintain safety standards along a rail corridor," the city said in a statement.
