There are 3 reporting weather stations in Woodland Hills as shown in Mesowest. None are official NOAA stations. 2 showed a peak temp today of 121F, one recorded 122F.

For the record, Furnace Creek (Death Valley NP Visitor Center) recorded 123F, and Cottonwood Canyon (Lake Mojave, Nevada side) 126F.

My daughter lives in Riverside, a few miles down the 215 from March Field, and was expecting 116 today; March made it to 115. Presumably Metrolink was running its Perris trains with heat restrictions. N Calif had a number of 110ish readings, and it even hit 100 at Pier 1 in San Francisco.
