More Eastern Washington Fire losses.

The former Spokane and Inland Empire Ry, later GN, covered bridge near Colfax, WA (known as the Manning Bridge) was destroyed by fire Monday. Line was abandoned just prior to BN merger when a nearby tunnel failed and traffic was handed to the UP instead. Local farmer had been using the bridge for his driveway since the abandonment.
Also Monday, the MILW town of Malden, WA burned in a fire storm. 80% of all structures in the town that was founded by the Milwaukee Road to support the terminal there were destroyed including all of the brick structures in the "downtown". The nearby town of Pine City, home to many MILW employees, was 50% destroyed in the same fire storm.
