"Also, Amtrak’s plan worsens the nation’s economic inequality, since long-distance coach travelers are Amtrak’s lowest income market segment."

TRANSLATION: "A lot of the people who ride long-distance coach on Amtrak are low-life Greyhound "bus trash", and since Greyhound has made severe cutbacks, Amtrak has to fill the void. The taxpayers need to subsidize a conveyance that can be used by toothless meth-heads, the mentally ill, people who have had their drivers licenses revoked because of too many DUIs, newly-released prisoners, fugitives from justice and the homeless.

Without Amtrak, how else is this strata of our society supposed to get from 'Point A' to 'Point B'?"
