Historically Ohio did not do much to preserve steam. No B&O locomotives, nor NYC nor any big N&W steam, no Pennsy steam. Only a few NKP Lima berkshires.

Jerry Jacobson and I were friends in the fifties and often checked out the B&O 417 in the Akron Junction engine house. It was used for a while as a stationary boiler as with the 421 in Cleveland. All gone.
