It states that the flyover will involve a new right of way east of the existing UP (former SP tracks). It acknowledges that it has to clear the existing crosstown freeway (hwy 4) overpass. Using google map as a rough estimate to measure distance, I measured between Lafayette and Scotts. I used those streets as a guide because I think they will want to keep Lafayette open as a xing and Scotts because I think they will want to keep the existing BNSF connector in use.
I realize that my calculation of a 1.7% grade is probably steep for a flyover (I used 25ft for height)) but they will probably get it closer to 1.5% or less.
