Thanks ble692 for the information on the LA area signals. In addition the ones on the Phoenix Sub are by far the largest concentration on searchlights still in service. Adding to what's already been mentioned are Coast Line searchlights. Salinas, Castroville. Watsonville Jct. and Logan. Further south Santa Margarita, Serrano and Chorro. Of note are the Logan lights on a signal bridge and Serrano on a cantilever. The last searchlight on Cal Northern's West Valley line is the first one north of the wye. This is part of the very first searchlight installation on the SP in early 1928 between Davis and Woodland. This is a very historic signal to say the least. It is just south of the Mace Rd overpass next to the ball field.
