Dunno why we bother to try to have a discussion with the clueless...

A private company, PG&E, wants to close a nuclear power plant because it does not want to face the costs of recertifying the systems. The rebuilding Edison did of San Onofre was a catastrophic failure (the new pipes cracked) so the had to close it.

But you go ahead and blame "California". The fact is that the state is considering asking the feds to allow Diablo to stay open for the carbon free energy. PG&E wants to close it.
