Is there a practical limit to length of monorail trains?

This Sao Paulo line 15 monorail from Bombardier is running 7 car trains. It seems this is not much longer than maybe 3 light rail articulateds mu'd.

Is the rather light aerial construction the limiting factor? I cannot see any advantage to monorail other than less noisy. A sort of captive trolley bus train on an expensive elevated and complicated switchwork.

BTW "Pular Annuncio" means skip ad.
