Just another addled idea from the tangerine cokehead.

The logistics of a railroad to Alaska from Ft. Mac are unbelievable. Some of the railroad's traffic up there only runs in the winter because the ground is so soft they can only operate when the ground is frozen solid. I can see no economic reason to build a railroad to tar sands which right now would be shut down except it is too expensive to shut them down and start them back up. Just last May/June, the Calgary Herald ran a story about how Ft. Mac was losing "x" amount of money every day.

It might be reasonable to build a pipeline although I doubt it.
