At least one of the F's (913A, IIRC) had a flanger plow mounted behind the pilot. I recall seeing it on the Highline at least once. Even have slides of it buried somewhere...

I'm guessing that the flanger assembly could be moved from unit to unit (F's, anyway) as required.
