WP had flanger-plows on a number of units, including GP7s, GP9s, GP20s, FTs, and F7s. You can still see some of the remnants of the flanger mechanism behind the plow of 913 at CSRM. There were also a number of "flanger" signs on the Inside Gateway at various locations which is a telltale of the "more-than-occasional-use" of flangers there.

Dale Sanders did a great presentation on WP's oversize locomotive snow plows at the 2007 Western Pacific Railroad Historical Society convention in Livermore. Great stuff...very informative for those who were there.
