Reading the article it appears the trail will be on the bay side of the RR grade and around the bay side of the old Arcata Redwood site, which I assume is still owned by Green Diamond.
It was always my understanding the trail people worked out and agreement with NCRA (and whoever?) that the railroad would remain no matter where the trail was located? Since NCRA's demise that may have changed? Maybe someone on this board knows for sure??
