I've had to make that split - second decision a few times before. My first instinct is to KEEP THE TRUCK UPRIGHT; all else is secondary. In the case shown, BOTH truck drivers could have avoided ANY accident by simply LOOKING WAAYY up the road !!! No excuses for the DUMB - Ass Four - Wheeler " driver ", but when I sit in my assigned conventional tractor, my head is EIGHT FEET above the pavement; that's A LOT of forward visibility. Those front cab tractors are almost as high, the old U.S. - spec cab - overs were even higher.
