Amtrak Triweekly Schedule

With Amtrak returning to triweekly schedules for most long-distance service, is there any chance of the state finding funding for "Daylight" runs on the off days between the Bay Area (or even Sacramento) and LA? Think of it as a daytime Medfly?

Back when Amtrak started, the Starlight was triweekly. But Amtrak run a shortie "Daylight" on the off days so the California coast would have daily service.

Thinking on it more, it would be more likely that a daytime bus might be added connecting Cap Corridor and Surfliner on the off days.
