There is a bright ball in the sky that produces energy you can harvest yourself on your own roof, what are you crying about?

Buy once, cry once. At least 20 years of energy that YOU produce, noise and pollution free.

Solar is getting close to the same, or better cost/KW for the power companies. The changeover will be like steam engines to diesels with not being able to shut down coal soon enough.

Natural gas, wind, hydro, batteries, hydrogen, etc. will have to cover the time that we spin away from the sun to meet demand.

To say that shutting down a coal plant will lead to a less stable grid or brownouts is naive.

They call is progress, and the environmental aspect is a small percent of it. Economics will rule the day.
