The Japanese bombed Darwin in 1941. But according to your lights, this was an attack. The bombing of Pearl Harbor was an attack, against us, which makes it sinful in your lights.

Australia entered WWII in 1939, long before the US of A did, and which had to do with being "British". It didn't declare war against Japan until two days after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
