Sierra Railroad #36 a long way from home

When its first home after leaving the Sierra, The White Mountain Scenic, failed 2-8-2 #36 found its way to what was then known as the "Heber Creeper" or the Wasatch Mountain Railroad.
Seen here in August of 1977, the tender still bears the flags from the Bicentennial the previous year. The locomotive now moulders away near Merrill, Oregon.
