John W. (Jack) Barriger IV Passes
John W. (Jack) Barriger IV died on November 20th. He had a long working career with Santa Fe and was a trainmaster in L.A. in the late 1950s and early 1960s. His father was president of the Monon, the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie and the Katy, among others.
Here are a couple of links, one for his obituary and there's a video of him reminiscing about his days in L.A. that he discussed at the Lexington Group meeting in Duluth, MN in 2016. The quality of the video isn't the best, but he tells a funny story about a switchman named "Frenchie".
