And the current Acela trainsets are in fact HSR. They are capable of 165 mph and reach 150 mph in short segments of the Northeast Corridor in service. So technically, they are HSR. The new ones are a little faster, but the alignment and track systems in the NEC will limit it to 150 or less in most places.
