The part you have circled in blue is the army base's yard, which was fenced off from SP's Desert yard right next to it. The army had own locomotive(s), which were kept in an enginehouse located on those three short stub tracks in the upper right where the purple and green lines cross. The two tracks leading over to Maritime St are army tracks.

The part in purple is the Parr Terminal, a pre-war industrial development, which was served by both the Key System (the OTRy) and the SP, but I'm not certain of the division of services between the two. The part in green is also part of this, but was served primarily by the OT when I worked there.

It is to be pointed out that this map was obsolete in 1963 because it doesn't show the SP's track realignments in the vicinity of the 7th St underpass which were made in 1961-1962.

There are also numerous errors in track configurations, for example only two mains are shown at 16th St when there should be four.

If you rescan or recrop this map to include what is a few blocks east of the word "Park" you will have a graphic answer to your question about the AT&SF's Wood St yard and the SP's 18th St industry lead.
