A Lost E8 Running Light

On the same roll as the Lackawanna MUs being pulled by a diesel that I just posted was this other oddity from the same morning.

A Penn Central E8 running light, westbound, on the Jersey Central. Even though it was Conrail time by February 1978, E8s were never used on this line. To this date, I have no idea what this engine was doing or where it was going.
