The first steam excursion for 2021 was going to the be held on the Conway Scenic Railroad on January 2. Unfortunately, the excursion sponsor, Massachusetts Bay Railroad Enthusiasts wound up cancelling the trip due to coronavirus quarantine restrictions.

To date, I have seen no evidence pandemic will sufficiently ease by the middle of 2021 to allow other excursions to be operated. It would be great to be proven wrong.

Unfortunately, the "I don't care about the virus" attitude among many in the US has prolonged and exacerbated the pandemic.
