Unoccupied Oregon City Paper Mill Fire

On Saturday afternoon a four-alarm fire broke out in the now-closed former Blue Heron paper mill in Oregon City. A long-time SP/UP customer the mill closed several years ago and was in the process of being dismantled.

The fire closed highway 99E and the UP main delaying AMTRAK for two hours.

Police spotted a trespasser throwing furniture items out of an upstairs window and arrested him charged with arson and trespassing.
