Passenger Train Foamernomics

Maybe this is best for Bob. I am trying to figure out fomernomics and the math doesn’t work out.

In light of Covid and shrinking tax dollars, is pouring money into long distance trains make sense?

Locally, after such a huge success of the Perris line, does running to Indio make a lick of sense?

Help me with the math.
