The last time I was over the line which was about two years before the "final flood," the only salvageable components was the steel. Ties were in dismal shape for the most part. As for any salvage, I would suspect at this point in time the cost to access the ROW would outweigh the value of the material. There are too many washouts that would have to be restored before any vehicles could pass through. A friend biked it a couple of years ago and he said there was at least a mile of "hike a bike" in hundreds of small sections. The only other option would be to fly it out. Erickson could do the job, only flying steel vs. logs.
