Here's a Steve Sloan photo (his father Lloyd was an SP engineer) of Sammie's 1127, sitting on the House Track (engine spur) at East Oakland Yard.

Sharp-eyed viewers can see it still has its trombone whistle below the horn from its days on the PE. (The whistle was later stolen while the unit was working in San Jose.)
As trivia, 1127 had a very melodious Nathan M3R1 horn, which was preserved and donated to the Oregon Pacific to be reunited with the unit, along with some inserts for the train indicator boxes.
