If they do get any freight traffic, it won't be anywhere near downtown Santa Fe. The whole terminal area has been redeveloped as the "Railyards," full of business, shopping, and dining venues. There's just room for Rail Runner to squeeze through and a couple tracks at the depot. This was done before Santa Fe Southern quit running, so they could squeeze an occasional passenger train in there too.
