The aviation industry has a wonderful track record with sensors and automation.

1) An stuck angle of attack sensor will cause the computer the put the airplane into a dive.

2) An iced over air speed sensor will cause the computer give a stall warning, and make the pilot crash the plane.

I hope the rail industry fares better with this automation crap.
