Perhaps you missed my comment on one of your earlier posts about Hanlon's Lead vs. what was called the Work Lead.
The Work Lead ran parallel to the Eastbound Main Track from a trailing point hand-thrown switch where the 50 Lead and 70 Lead came together south of the limits of the Magnolia interlocking plant, continuing through Jack London Square, to a facing point hand-thrown switch located between the bridge over the Lake Merritt inlet and the 5th Avenue grade crossing.
Going straight at this switch, the track became Hanlon's Lead (sometimes called Hanlon's Siding), which extended all the way to the beginning of the interlocking limits at Fruitvale.
Going right at the switch would take you to Track 1000, which was the 10 Zone Lead that ran between the I-880 freeway and the Embarcadero.
