When the PLA first started the Train of Lights we called it the "Polar Express". I don't know who came up with the name or if it was copied from the book but it was not linked to the book. When the movie came out we were contacted by Warner Brothers notifying us that we had to stop using the name or pay royalties. Since we did not link our ride to the book we opted for changing the name of our ride to "The Train of Lights". We have done fine without the "Polar Express" name. People ride for the Christmas train ride experience not for a "Polar Express" experience. Other operators have followed our lead. Maybe all of them should.
