Clendenen appointed to NCRA

Supervisor Clif Clendenen
The Humboldt Board of Supervisors appointed 2nd Dist. Supervisor Cliff Clendenen to the North Coast Railroad Authority (NCRA) at Tuesday’s meeting. The appointment came during a flurry of appointments to some 61 committees, boards and commissions.

Clendenen expressed a life-long interest in trains which began when he grew up next to the tracks in Fortuna.

The appointment is a “big one,” said Supe Chair Jimmy Smith.

Supe Jill Duffy joked that Clendnen deserved a round of applause for stepping into the contentious fray over resurrection of the railroad.
