This angry editorialist has I think it wrong on the light rail idea. Newsom is wedded to the $200bil proto-BART detour to Palmdale. The Ranch don't do light rail.

The appliance thing is appalling: you are going to ban gas stoves and then try to network your appliances from washing machine to toaster thru f*****g motherboards that crap out after a short time and cost hundreds to replace? Pure 1984.

We have in one rental a Jenn-Air dual fuel range, otherwise decent, that has been reduced to junk by a worthless main board, totally inappropriate in a hot, shaky, moisture-filled, and greasy stove.
