Fallbrook - ATSF local?

Hard to top this for power. Fallbrook, CA 5-16-64.

Some Googling turned up a similar photo with this info: "Santa Fe F7A #306L is the lead engine for a railfan excursion up the old California Southern..." ( [www.rrpicturearchives.net] )

Apparently 306 lasted into the mid-1970's when it was turned into a CF7. The ultimate disfigurement.
