I believe that 'stash' is correct. The main Post Office was there. My grandfather used to drive the 12 bus that ran from Grand Ave to Piedmont Ave on out to the Oakland Army Base. Grandpa would give us rides down to the Army Base. That gave us time to visit during the ride. OS
