My "assessment", as you put it, isn't based on photographs of any kind but on looking at the track (and the switch leading to it) from the engineer's seats of SP locomotives. In them days, the SP wasn't about to let the OT, Santa Fee, or any other RR use its tracks.

Well, I've seen the gates at both ends of the Army base yard from the ground many times (I've even leaned on them), so as I just said, they aren't "suppositions". If you persist in being rude and argumentative, I'll start completely ignoring your questions about SP/SN/WP operations in the east bay.
