A year or two after trainorders started charging to share photos and participate in discussions, some of us went to other websites. So I shared one of my (yawn) boring freight car photos on one of those free sites.
So I happened to see a thread on trainorders about a shiny repainted boxcar. I couldn't open up the photo that he had swiped, but it floored me that the poster stated "Look at what I saw at ______" and he even misspelled the town. This was a well-known, highly regarded prototype modeler. He had swiped the photo, but tried to smudge my watermark when he uploaded it on TO.
It took FOUR emails over a 5 day period for the moderator to take down the post with my stolen photo. I just didn't understand why didn't start a thread on the "free" website to begin with.
