It's a sad note on the current state of our union...
It's also sad to see that Biden has decided to cancel his planned trip from Wilmington to Washington for his inauguration because of the ongoing continuous terrorist threats from violent extremists. However, given that there has been a previous successful unsolved domestic terrorist attack on Amtrak in the United States, I think he did the right thing in not exposing passengers and crew to the inconvenience from the high levels of security that would have been necessary. And, of course, to protect Amtrak passengers and employees from the actual risk of terrorist attack, given the threats of terrorism from some of these extremists.
