Hi Dick,
Few thoughts on 45 Tonners on the west coast here. Some of these are in use, and a number of them I dont know the state of, but some possible(?) parts leads...
The Swanson Group down in Glendale, OR has a 45 Tonner. Not sure the current status of it, but they are using an SW900 for their switching now.

The Port of Redwood City in Redwood City, CA has a 45 Tonner but it is used occasionally.

James Railcar Repair near Chico CA I believe still has a 45 Tonner. My understanding is that they closed up shop a few years back but as far as I know the locomotive is still on site. No idea of the condition of the loco.
Lehigh Cement in Mountain Gate, CA (near Redding) has a 45 Tonner on site I believe. Again no idea of the condition or if they use it (they also have an EMD switcher that I know they do use).
As I recall Stimson over by Seghers, OR had a 45 Tonner at one point. I only saw a track mobile there when I swung a few months back, so not sure if its still there or not...
Lastly, the old nickel mine in Riddle, OR used to have a few GEs... not sure what they were, but seem to recall one may have been a 45 Tonner.
Best regards,
