Tempe's growing skyline and US Airways headquarters looms over Tempe Town Lake's two rail bridges on New Years Day 2009. Taken from beneath the Red Mountain Freeway (Loop 202), a southward view gives a great overview of both the 2006/07 METRO bridge to the left and the 1912 SP/UP bridge to the right. Over 140 trains per day ply the METRO bridge, with about 10 Tucson-Phoenix and local trains on the UP bridge.
