It’s professional sports (aka Wellfare for billionaires) so they will get whatever they want, as you referenced with the big money statement.

And the fans will eat it up like lemmings. Just look at Vegas and the Raiders, coined as one of the worst financial deals a city could ever make.

OTOH, Jack London Square would serve a stadium much better than the current Oakland Coliseum station which funnels every Capitol Corridor train from 2 main 79 mph tracks into a pitifully slow single track siding to access the platform.
