You are correct.
I stopped going to Jack London when Amtrak "ditched" private varnish.
The head of the oakland port came from the port of Long Beach (and was just as worthless there).
Oakland as a whole has problems from the very top to the very bottom levels of just about everything. Covid has made it worse!
Notice how the "extra" wide panama lane did not kill the transcon (as they said it would!) ?
