Talgo scrap train

I heard that Washington's unwanted Talgo cars are headed from the PNW to an Anaheim scrap yard via the Cuesta Grade/SLO. Is this a special move or will the cars be tacked onto another train?

Still wondering: Is scrapping really necessary? The cars would have made an interesting apartment complex or unique motel. No bidders, I guess.
